Who knew crans Montana is full of Italians?
As it turns out, I could’ve had a great pizza party at one of the Italian restaurants but instead, I had a fabulous swiss meal at Le Chalet.
Months prior I had sent emails to various restaurants explaining that I wanted to bring 43 people for dinner and Alberto was one of the few people that responded and was very patient with me while he explained what is racklette (yum)and why they serve it with pickled onions&pickles. We ordered it all and had the best tasting potatoes ever, valaisanne meats&more cheese, vegetables & beef bourguignon with a nice Gamay wine, followed by sorbet and a wee bit of grappa(do not put it over the sorbet, drink it straight.
From the moment you approach LeChalet you know you are in for a treat!
I am a bit of an Italophile so I was so happy when I went to check out the place upon arrival in Crans and found almost all the staff are Italian. They were so kind, friendly, polite and fabulous at their job.
